Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PS2)

Or rather, Vice City Stories of Blur and Brown. The game looks horrific. I mean, Canis Canem Edit didn’t look great, but this? Awful. It’s like someone took the original Vice City and smeared it with dirty hands. I suppose that’s what you get for porting a PSP game back to the PS2. Anyway. So I’m Vic Vance, Lance Vance’s (from the original) brother, and this seems to be set a while before the original. I’m a corporal in the …

Saints Row (360)

Didn’t play any more actual proper missions, as I needed to build up my respect bar before they were unlocked, so set about exploring instead. Found three CDs (I now have 10, so it unlocked a music track), and some tag points. Also found one of the cars I needed for a Chop Shop mission, and I spent a while doing hostage runs too. I got another achievement today as well – 20 hours played. What was interesting is I …

Saints Row (360)

Spent about 20 minutes car collecting when I first started playing today. I now have about 60 cars in my garage (including a SWAT van, a load of Five-Os and a couple of ambulances), which gained me the “50 cars owned” achievement. I then went and bought all the clothes I could find (which wasn’t really very much), and then went back to doing Mayhem missions. Which were fun, as always. After that, I decided to play online for a …

Saints Row (Demo) (360)

Oh my. This isn’t like Grand Theft Auto at all, is it? I mean, not only does it look like it, and have similar controls, and gangs, and carjacking, and map and all that, but it even feels like it. That isn’t a bad thing, of course. I played for 20 minutes or so and had a great time kicking innocent women to death, driving cars into the sea, and booting rubbish around the roads. And then I picked up …

I am weak, part 43

I wasn’t going to buy this. It didn’t interest me as much as previous GTA games, or as much as Saints Row 2, but then I saw I could get it for 22 quid at Play-Asia and, well… Weakness. At least I didn’t break the ¬¨¬£25 Rule, I suppose. It arrived today. Yay!

The Problems with Grand Theft Auto IV

GTA IV arrived yesterday, and I was actually quite excited about playing it. Before it came out, I wasn’t all that fussed, actually, and was prepared to wait until it hit less than ¬¨¬£25 (because I won’t pay more than ¬¨¬£25 for a game), regardless how long that was. As it turned out, it was just one day. Since ordering it, my excitement did build a bit, and I was really looking forward to it. Sadly, I feel a bit …
